What is Pranic Acupuncture?

When attempting to create Pranic Acupuncture, it was done by standing on the shoulders of giants. Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture is well established throughout the world and is the most widely researched modality of integrative medicine. Pranic Healing was painstakingly established through the efforts of Master Choa Kok Sui over 30 years of original research, and has centers in over 120 countries.

My task as a student of Pranic Healing was to synthesize the information of the 11 chakra model with the Zang Fu organs of TCM. This was the beginning stages. As time went on, I was able to further grasp how the two modalities could effectively be synthesized as one system of healing. Both philosophies enhanced one another. The understanding of the chakras made the energetic understanding of the Zang Fu organs more thorough, and the understanding of the meridians made a more complete understanding of the energy body.

Most importantly to me was taking into account the spiritual development or energy cultivation of the practitioner. Knowing that as a practitioner, our energy makes a big impact on the outcome for our patients. When we are clear, focused, and energized through our meditative efforts, we have less burn out but also are better conduits of healing energy. The topic of energy hygiene is absent in acupuncture training, and since this is a large part of Pranic Healing, this was huge missing link.

I look forward to sharing my own personal experiences with Pranic Acupuncture, and to learn and grow from my students and colleagues.
