The person who is developing freely and naturally arrives at a spiritual equilibrium in which he is master of his actions, just as one who has acquired physical poise can move freely.

I credit my mother, Joy, for my drive to help alleviate the pain of others. She was an occupational therapist who loved her job and sharing methods of holistic healing . When she was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, she used many different methods to cope with her pain. This was how I was introduced to guided meditation, tai chi, qigong, herbal medicine, and acupuncture when I was eleven years old.

It took several years after losing my mom and struggling with anxiety and depression before I was reintroduced to meditation and alternative medicine. When I was twenty, I lost my best friend to suicide. This was the ultimate push into a path of self-healing. Grief became a teacher and motivator to understand how to help others deal with physical and emotional pain. After having a life-changing experience with Pranic Healing, I understood that mind-body approaches and energy medicine were something I was willing to dedicate my life to.

Pranic Healing guided me to study acupuncture and Chinese medicine, and after graduating with my Master's degree my wife and I moved to Tianjin, China for three years while I obtained my doctorate.

My own deep experiences with grief and loss increased my capacity for compassion and patience. My experience with traveling in other cultures allowed me a new level of tolerance, acceptance, and appreciation for my patients and their needs.

Due to working full time at the Mayo Clinic, my schedule for distant Pranic Healing sessions is very limited. I have shifted to working with people who are looking to make drastic improvements in their life over a monthly, quarterly, or annual treatment plan that we will discuss in-depth during our consultation and initial Pranic Healing session.
